How to use e.g. and i.e.

I am going to explain, how you need to use e.g. and i.e.

e.g. and i.e. are abbreviations of Latin words.


e.g.
e.g. is abbreviation of "example gratia",which means "for example".

I give you some example sentences for e.g.:

Some companies pay high salary to their employees: e.g. Microsoft and Google.

Stock is not available for food items: e.g. Bread, biscuits.

i.e.
Next, lets know about i.e.

i.e. is abbreviation of "id est",which means "that is" or "in other words".

Now we see some example sentences for i.e.:

Milk items(i.e. Curd and Butter) are sold here from today.
30% tax applicable for imported fruits: i.e. Mango, Graphs
